Valerie tagged me so here it goes:
Regarding me and my husband:
How long did you date?
We went out on our first post-mission date the first weekend in May. I was home for the weekend for my brother's wedding. The night before I flew back to San Diego, he told me I should move home... so I did. Exactly one week later, I had packed up my entire apartment, quit my jobs, and drove home. (with the help of my very supportive and eager Dad.) We were married 7 months later.
How old is he? 27
How old are you? 26
Who eats more sweets?
Definitely JOE! I can not believe the crap he comes home with when he does the "grocery shopping!" Plus, anytime I am at a food-related store, he asks me to call him while I walk down the candy aisle. And he has a lovely little ritual of eating 2 ding-dongs, or raspberry filled powdered donuts, with a 20 oz. tumbler of WHOLE MILK every night while he lies in bed! Gross! Why the crap is he so skinny?!
Who said I love you first?
Joe. But I meant it first! hahaha
Who is taller?
Joe, by a lot. Which I love because I can wear any size of heels I want and he still has inches on me!
Who can sing better?
Me. But Joe can sing, he just doesn't think so. If only he would let me teach him.
Who is smarter?
Can I cop out and say we compliment each other well? Joe can recall so many random tidbits, and always remembers stuff from classes he took. (What? He actually learned stuff while he was in school? Weird, I know.) But I am better at figuring out gadgets and analytical things, and I love grammar. We were both good students. And we're both decently street-savvy. So I dunno.
Who does the laundry?
I do, but I hate folding whites, so I usually try to pawn that one off on him.
Who does the dishes?
It is one of my favorite things about Joe: his rule is if I cook the meal, he cleans the meal. What a guy eh?!
Guilty pleasures?
Oh, he has so, so many, dare I even attempt?
Ultimate Fighting, Stupid Family Guy (I hate that show with a passion), raspberry filled donuts, Cadburry eggs, Whole Milk, Mother's taffy cookies, Italian Sodas, brand new cars(yes folks, I said CARS. We've owned 9 in our 5 years of being married. Disgusting.), Nike tennis shoes, Reno 911... and the list could go on.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
Joe likes to sleep on the side closest to the door. I finally asked him why, and he said in case anyone ever breaks in, he is closest to the intruder. How thoughtful.
Who mows the lawn?
Joe will when we finally get ours in! We just seeded! :) But I don't really mind mowing on occassion. I mowed a flippin half acre every week growing up...yes, with a push mower.
Who cooks dinner?
Uh, me. Joe's idea of making dinner (when I do insist it's his turn) is going out, or ordering in. He does, however, make a mean breakfast, and he is quite the seafood cook, if he is really feeling ambitious. Oh, and the barbeque is his baby. (So long as I do the prep work.)
Who is more stubborn?
Joe is more stubborn when we fight. I am more stubborn about having things function my way in the house.
Who kissed who first?
He kissed me first, in HS after he had moved away and was back for a visit. It did not bode well with me since I had a boyfriend. He will tell you I kissed back, but it is merely an attempt to save face. hahaha. He also kissed me first post-mission.
Who asked who out first?
Joe asked me out first, kind of, I guess. Mail takes a loooong time to get back and forth from the States to Argentina, so he never got my letter explaining that I was moving to San Diego before he left the mission. So when he got home he called my parents house and asked for me. When my sister told him I lived in SD, he just said ok and gave up. Didn't ask for a number, or address, or even tell my sister who he was. So after 2 weeks of knowing he was home, and not having heard from him, I finally called him. But he was "technically" the one who asked me out the weekend I was home for the wedding.
Who proposed?
Joe. At the Train Depot, the site where we ended our first date.
Who has more siblings?
I have more "whole" siblings. He has more if you count "steps" and "half" siblings.
Who wears the pants?
Depends on the issue. We are actually really good at compromising.
What is your favorite thing about him?
Joe is one of the most selfless persons I have ever met. He is always genuinely concerned with my well being. He is just very thoughtful and aware of my needs emotionally, physically, mentally. He really is tender. And he is the best dad ever! I kind of like him, a lot. Aaaaaaah.
OKAY - - - Carly and Stacie.--- You are it!!! Now you have to make a new post on your blog with these questions.

How can you hate Family Guy? Oh, and thanks for the tag! Looks like I'll need to block out some time to write up this one!! hehe
I am with Joe on ordering out... and I love that Joe has a car fetish - expensive and impressive. We love Joe and you!!!
I love those kind of posts! You get to know people better I think. All I have to say though is, donuts and whole milk?! How does he stay so skinny?
So fun to hear all the fun things about other people's relationships! Joe sounds like he is a truly genuin guy, I think you have a keeper there, not that you don't already know that!
That was fun to read about you guys! I didn't know most of that!
