The Easter Tragedy

We had a great Easter in Boise, but we sure missed Dad. It ended up being a good time, but I think Amaya may be officially ruined on the Easter Bunny thanks to a certain older cousin. While all the kids were upstairs with Uncle Jason, waiting for the Easter Bunny to come, Josh told Amaya that if you accidentally see the Easter Bunny or one of his workers, they will eat you! Jason tried to do damage control but it was too late! Amaya was in hysterics, scared out of her mind. When we went up to get the kids to come and do the Easter egg hunt, Amaya refused! She was bawling and saying "I don't want to see the Easter Bunny, I don't, I don't!" We were finally able to convince her to come out, after assuring her the Bunny was gone, and had just left goodies behind.

She woke up 3, yes 3 times that night crying, having night terrors about the Easter Bunny coming to get her. Each time I went up to calm her down, she repeatedly asked where the Bunny was. The next morning she informed me that Delilah was afraid of the Easter Bunny. She still asks me to this day, where the Eatser Bunny is, and tries to convince herself that "he's not scary. He's a nice guy."

I am happy to finally get to see the Easter pictures! I still laugh about that story, even if it is very sad...hopefully she's not ruined for life, or you might have to spill the beans that he's not real to spare her sorrow!

What a bunch of beauties... doesn't that sound just like grandma. You do look great. Your girls are precious and it's so fun to see Alicia. I think it's that oldest child thing and being a little scared. Poor little thing... hope she hasn't thought about him again!

That is so sad. . .I feel so bad for her that she is scared of the Easter Bunny. We are still battling nightmares about Vegas Buddy. . .that dumb monkey!

Oh my gosh, all three of you girls are beautiful! I love the Easter dresses, and very sad about being scared of the Easter bunny. My boys are the same way - are deathly afraid of Mickey Mouse and all characters at Disneyland and jump under the table when the big red bird walks around Red Robin. Oh well, can't win 'em all!

What fun pics! Don't you just want to beat older relatives when they say stuff to your kids?! It's like, thanks, you have no idea how much extra work and trauma you just created for me!
