Sure, "lifelong" only constitutes two years, but Amaya talks about wanting to ride a horse almost every night! She notices and watches for them anytime we are in the car. Well, last week we happen to be at the right place at the right time. The ranch hand (a sweet old lady named Kate) happened to be at the park while we were there, and when I asked if it would be possible for Amaya to ride one of the horses, she was more than happy to oblige.
She was beyond excited just to be so close to them, and couldn't stop watching them in awe.
Then Kate introduced Amaya to her horse Blue.
They hit it off right away!
Amaya has been talking about it ever since! Kate invited us to come back anytime, and we've already taken her up on it! Hopefully this is something we can continue to do frequently. It is a beautiful way to start the day, and I love giving our kids the opportunity to experience new things, and appreciate God's creations.

That is awesome! We love riding horses here too! That is wonderful that she didn't get scared...Go Amaya little "no fear"girl!
She is so adorable sitting up on top of that huge horse!
How adorable is that? She looks so tiny on that large horse! She never ceases to amaze me, she is so the type to be fearless!
oh what a nice old lady! you will definitely have to take Kate up on her offer- free horse riding lessons anyone???? my children are going to be so disappointed when I tell them they can't ride horses (unless Jon takes them) cause I am allergic :0( Sorry future children.
That was so cute! Kenzie is obsessed with "neigh neighs" and talks about the one she rode at the Young Living farm all the time. . .she named it Blueberry. Maybe she and Amaya could be rodeo queens together!
Hilla- that is the cutest! She looks too small to be so comfortable with it! What a love. I think she looks a lot like Brookanne.
