Poor lil Gracey!!

Our poor little baby girl has the chicken pox. I'm being told this is a fairly mild case compared to some, but it's bad enough for me (and her)! She is surprisingly pleasant and her good-tempered self...during the day. Nights are another story! Poor girl can't find any comfort, even with oatmeal baths and calamine smotherings, and rolls around moaning and fussing, but isn't content being held either! Hope this passes sooner than later! I can't stand watching my children suffer without being able to ease the pain. Joe keeps saying this is harder on me than her!
(Also- my good camera is packed away. These are from my little point and shoot and don't accurately portray her battle wounds. As far as her face is concerned- I think we are getting a preview of 13 year old acne- only isn't hiding in her bedroom, crying, refusing to be seen by the world! We've got another 12 years before we're dealing with that one.)

ahhhh poor kid! I still have a couple scars from those- none on my face thank heavens. I hope they clear up soon so she can once again sleep like a baby! Teen and acne- I really don't want to deal with that one!

Yes, you and Ximena (and all the other viewers) should feel blessed that I am displaying such hideous morning pics of myself. I just kind if figured what the heck! Just like the book "everyone poops" - "Everyone looks scary in the morning" (unless your Hillary and then you probably look spectacular- even after being up all night with a chicken pox baby)

No pressure. No woman should post her morning portrait before she is ready. But I think all the ladies should do it sooner or later- kind of liberating really. And if my morning portrait made one woman feel good for the day then my job is done. I personally know I feel great after I see those really horrid pictures of movie stars with no make-up. Makes me realize they are human and need a little help too.

That is the pits! Why is it that everything is worse at night? I will never understand that one. I sure hope she gets better soon so you can both be back to your happy sweet selves!
She does make for one adorable chicken pox girl though.....

So sorry to hear that Kendal's got the chicken pox. Tanner had them at about the same age but the girls all received the vaccination. Has Amaya had them or got the shot or are you going to be doing the pox thing for a month? Love her budha belly!

Ohhh... I'm so sorry. Chicken Pox are the worst. Don't let her pick the ones on her face. I have two huge scars on the side of my face from picking when I was 4. I hope they go away soon and you return to sleep. Love you guys.
